AGBL participates in the 2nd Conference on Natural Products Genomics & Drug Discovery, 23rd to 24th June 2016

AGBL will be participating in the 2nd Conference on Natural Products Genomics & Drug Discovery. A rich assortment of medicinal plants has been the foundation of Sri Lanka’s indigenous ayurvedic system of healing.This conference will be focusing on natural products and the different ways natural products have impacted modern medicine, but also to discuss the potentially many ways they can contribute towards future drug discovery around the world. The theme of the conference will be “Basic and Translational Research on Cancer and Inflammation”. This conference, bringing together clinicians and basic scientists from USA, Sri Lanka and other countries, will focus on the multi-targeted approach to treat and prevent cancer and inflammation using various natural products. Natural product chemistry, their structure-function relationship, potential mechanism of action, drug interactions and future potential will be examined.
