Illumina and AGBL invite you to join us and our team of expert panelists to openly discuss the ever-evolving field of personalized medicine. The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness of personalized healthcare approaches around the globe and to further understand the benefits some of these approaches could bring to healthcare in Qatar. Additionally, we hope to identufy the challenges specific to Qatar in terms of adoption of personalized healthcare to assist in developing a technology roadmap for the future.
Sidra’s 3rd Annual Functional Genomics, co-organized with Nature Genetics, will provide an opportunity to discuss cutting edge advances in the field of Precision Medicine.
By bringing world-class speakers to Qatar, and combining speeches from Sidra’s most promising scientists, we aim to foster multi-national collaborations that will further cement Qatar’s position as a regional leader in this exciting and rapidly developing field.
Sessions will include recent breakthroughs in implementing personalized medicine from early life (maternal and neonatal), childhood, and adulthood. There will be a special emphasis on large-scale studies, novel technologies, and ongoing efforts towards the implementation of such programs in the MENA region.
The three day event will feature enhanced networking opportunities with speakers and thematic breakout sessions. Attendees will also have the chance to learn about technologies in the genomic and precision medicine space through sponsor-led, hands-on workshops.
Functional Genomics Symposium is directed towards physicians, nurses, pharmacists, healthcare policy makers, scientists, academic researchers and students involved in the field of biology, genomics, genomic medicine, genetics, cancer and other chronic diseases.
