AGBL West Africa announced the successful installation and training of the automated sample preparation solution for next generation sequencing, PCR and RNA extraction, the solution was set up at Lagos Biobank at Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria which is supported by 54gene.
Mr. Mohamed Ben Marzouk, a senior Area Manager at AGBL Afrique, said, “We believe that the automated sample preparation solution commissioned at the Lagos Biobank will help greatly in automating the sample preparation process and increase the throughput of the lab, automation also helps minimize the room for human errors in the process of assay. This is another step for our team in helping the national efforts in Nigeria to combat the virus.”
